Do you find excitement in implementing data pipelines from extraction to monitoring (cloud/on-premise) and taking responsibility to design data architectures in production environments? Then you might want to apply for the position as data engineer in Biopharm Manufacturing Development in Gentofte.

Our ideal candidate will have hands-on experience and ability to translate complex logic into data solutions that can easily be used by chemists, data scientists, statisticians and other decision-makers. Data is collected from production and transformed into daily insights that enable decision makers at all levels to make evidence-based decisions or fully automate the decision-making process. You have worked as a data engineer on data and analytics projects - and no matter if the data is big or small, you have the ability of getting things done.

About the department

You will be part of a diverse team, working with talented programmers and exciting data projects across Novo Nordisk global production.

You will be part of Biopharm’s Standardisation & Optimization team within our Manufacturing Development area. Main responsibilities for the team is supporting and optimizing all parts of the production, using IT, data and lean, from the manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients, all the way through packaging to finished products. We are currently on a journey towards becoming even more data driven in this role.

The job

We are looking for a data engineer to collaborate with our data scientist. Your first tasks include data ingestion from a myriad production systems, curation, and storage.

You get the opportunity to collaborate with experienced professionals throughout the value chain, including IT-system managers, chemists, and data scientists.

Qualifications

You have relevant documented experience within data engineering; Either you hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree within Computer Science, Engineering or similar or have extensive experience within the field.

We are looking for candidates with professional experience with the following:

  • Relational databases such as MySQL, MSSQL and PostgreSQL
  • NoSQL databases, preferably MongoDB
  • Data processing using ETL tools, SQL, Spark and Python
  • Python-progamming
  • Docker
  • Cloud technologies
  • API development

As our new colleague we expect you to be skillful in what you do. Besides taking responsibility for your tasks, you are curious and take the initiative to get the job done. You have an eye for details, and an open mindset including willingness to learn and to improve. Having experience with working in agile teams is an advantage.

Furthermore, you are known for building good relations with your colleagues and stakeholders at all levels in the organization.
