Senior Director, Quality Assurance

Your mission will be to set a direction and lead our QA team and to help us to continue to elevate our quality standards.
Who are we?
The Senior Director is placed in Demant´s Hearing Instrument Group (HIG) Quality Department in Denmark. We are responsible for quality and regulatory for our biggest brands, like Oticon, Bernafon, Sonic and Philips. The group consists of 195 employees globally. The department entails Product Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, Production Quality and Strategic Programs (Program Management Office).
The QA team consists of ten highly engaged specialists who all have different strengths, which means that one of the tasks in this role to utilize and develop the team in the best and most strategic way going forward. The QA team is located both in Denmark and Poland.
The task
Responsible for developing and implementing Quality Assurance department strategy.
Leading and coaching the direct reports, facilitating improvement initiatives, and driving the QA strategy execution..

Manage and administer our Quality Management System according to applicable standards and regulations.
Develop and prioritize an audit strategy for all programs and all manufacturing locations. Contact person to Notifiyed Body.
Support wholesales and guide the organization through quality assurance knowledge.
The main activities of the QA team are documentation control, CAPA Process, QMS update and maintenance, calibration process, and planning and execution of Internal/External Audits in Demant relevant sites.
You are part of the Quality Leadership Team where your insights, input to the organization and strategy are appreciated. Furthermore, your role will interface within Quality as well as outside across the global organization. Your main key stakeholders are the Quality function, Executive Management Team, and the management in R&D, Sales & Marketing, IT, HR and Operations. You report to the Senior Vice President of Quality.
Qualifications
You have a technical or commercial / business degree. You should have a minimum experience of 5 years as QA manager.
As a Medical Device manufacturer, we are looking for compliance and regulation knowledge within ISO13485, Medical Device Regulation (MDR), FDA CFR 21 part 820 and MDSAP.
As we are a global company, you should expect travelling days to be around 10-30 days.
