About the AAMEO Finance graduate programme
Novo Nordisk’s Region AAMEO encompasses markets in Africa, Asia, Middle East and Oceania with 4.3 billion people living in the region corresponding to approximate 60% of world population. The region represents a large portion of the GDP growth in the world today; however, the growth is very unevenly distributed, with countries like Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Russia, India and Algeria being some of the main growth drivers. With 110 countries in the region, the programme ensures ample on-the-job experience, a multicultural network and international assignments for the next generation of finance leaders who want to make a difference to the millions of people who rely on our products.

The AAMEO Finance organisation focuses on driving competitive value creation with a strong performance culture with a focus on feedback. We are looking for people to help us transform numbers into actionable insights, to act as partners to line of business (e.g. sales and marketing organisation) and to create a solid platform for the company’s future success. Financial management and controlling of our operations, ensuring financial compliance, making challenging decisions and handling risks proactively are just a few of our activities.

During the programme you will work with senior managers and build an international network of world-class colleagues, establishing yourself as one of tomorrow’s key people in finance at Novo Nordisk.

We’ve designed the AAMEO Finance graduate programme, so that, following its successful completion, you will be equipped with the necessary skills and experiences to become an integral part of our company – typically with a permanent position in one of the offices in the region.

The position

During the 2-year programme you will undertake four rotations of 6 months each. One rotation will take place in our AAMEO regional headquarters in Dubai, U.A.E, one in one of our Business Areas offices, one in a large sales affiliate, and one in our corporate headquarters in Denmark or International Operations office in Switzerland.

The rotations are shaped to suit your development needs, while meeting our business requirements and to ensure you build the required competences needed to become a future finance leader in Novo Nordisk. While each graduate plan is graduate-specific, below is an example of how the rotations could be shaped:

• Rotation 1

Placed in AAMEO regional office in Dubai, UAE 6 months, you will gain insight in financial controlling, market analysis, financial planning and management reporting. The rotation will focus on business controlling and in addition, you will be working with business performance analysis, acquiring knowledge of the AAMEO markets and their strategic implications for the business.

• Rotation 2

Working in one of our two Business Area offices in AAMEO, either in Istanbul or Malaysia, you will move closer to the business and be responsible for key deliverables within the FP&A function, such as the planning processes and monthly reporting. Furthermore, you will continue to strengthen your business understanding and be involved in business cases to support the real-life challenges of the affiliates within the business area.

• Rotation 3

Working in our corporate headquarters in Denmark or International Operations office in Switzerland, you will be assigned to one of our key corporate functions such as Treasury, Corporate Financial Planning, Pricing, Market Access, or Global Marketing, depending on your interests and the needs of the business.

• Rotation 4

During the last rotation in an AAMEO sales affiliate, you will become truly close to the marketplace and get the chance to apply the knowledge gained in the previous rotations. You will get hands-on experience with business challenges and risks that pharmaceutical companies face in the marketplace and be able to impact the business with the acquired business understanding.

Qualifications

To apply for the AAMEO Finance graduate programme, you must have:

• A master’s degree from 2019 or 2020 in a relevant subject, for example within finance, economics, business administration or management accounting
• A minimum of 6 month’s international experience from working, studying or voluntary work
• Relevant work experience or extracurricular activities obtained next to your studies
• No more than 1 years of work experience after finishing your master’s
• Above average academic achievements
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills
• High drive and ambitious goals
• Eagerness to learn and willingness to challenge status quo
• An international mind-set and be globally mobile
• Team-player skills
• Professional fluency in English
