About the department
Diabetes Finished Products (DFP) is responsible for formulation, filling, inspection, assembly and packaging of insulin and GLP-1 products with production sites in China, Brazil, USA, France and Denmark.
The DFP Finance department is part of DFP business support delivering support to the global network and the head of DFP. The department is known for striving for excellence, openness towards innovation and focus on stakeholder relations. Collaboration is a key for our success meaning that we are successful when the sites are successful.
The department is responsible for an annual budget of 6 billion DKK, which covers about 50% of Product Supply. Accordingly, the results delivered will have a visible impact in the Novo Nordisk results.
The position
Your primary responsibility will be to drive cost optimisation agenda in DFP. This will be done through providing DFP management with financial input for strategic decisions, as well as providing insights into cost optimisation opportunities within DFP.
To set the strategic direction from a finance perspective you will need to demonstrate very strong financial skills, a strategic mind set and continuously bring forth new ideas and opportunities. You will drive financial assessments and provide cost analysis and business cases to support strategic decisions. To drive execution of the strategy you will furthermore use your solid project management skills and experience with process facilitation.
Success in the role calls for strong communication and stakeholder management skills as you will liaise with all parts of DFP, collaborate with the other productions areas in PS, engage with Novo Nordisk sales affiliates and engage in a close interaction with the central finance function on financial models and business plans. There will be some travelling to meet and work with our global sites.
This is a unique opportunity to interact directly with senior stakeholders across the organisation, and get insights into and impact the strategic priorities in DFP.
Qualifications
You hold a relevant finance degree and have 4-6 years of experience within finance, supply chain or management support and a proven track record of delivering consistent high performance. You need to be fluent in English and comfortable working across functions and cultures as you will be working in an international team and engaging with international stakeholders.
We are looking for a person who is passionate about finance and you will need to excel in stakeholder management and be able to communicate on a strategic level with senior management across DFP. You are structured and comfortable with managing your own time and deliverables. At the same time you need to be able to communicate clearly and come with new ideas and recommendations based on financial and business insights. You have professional and personal impact that is reflected in your desire to make a true difference.
