About the department

Corporate Procurement is Novo Nordisk’s centre of excellence for category strategies, supplier agreements and purchasing. We negotiate contracts covering more than DKK 25 billion of Novo Nordisk’s spend. We also define and drive Novo Nordisk’s global procurement strategy, we set the global direction for best practice procurement work processes and we are driving a large digitalisation project across global procurement.

Corporate Procurement consists of 150 employees based in Denmark and India, and globally more than 400 people work in procurement. Corporate Procurement is anchored with direct report to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Novo Nordisk.

The position

You will be the responsible person for maintaining and improving compliance with Business Ethics and Personal Data Protection (GDPR) in Corporate Procurement. Further, you will be supporting compliance with our responsible sourcing programme, human rights agenda and sustainable procurement initiatives. You will be working closely with global colleagues to ensure that our 60,000 suppliers are in compliance with our standards.

In addition, you will be the anchor for new external requirements which need to be reflected in how we handle suppliers in Novo Nordisk. You will work closely with management in Corporate Procurement and key stakeholders along the Novo Nordisk value chain, to ensure that requirements are well-reflected in our processes, contracts and systems.

You will become part of a skilled, dynamic and sociable team, in a diverse and global organisation – and you will have a great degree of influence on how your job and tasks evolve.

Qualifications

We expect you to have 1-5 years or more of experience in working with law or compliance in an international company, law firm or consultancy and graduated with a master’s degree (e.g. M.Sc. LL.M. or MBA) with a top 20% GPA.

You set high professional expectations to yourself and others and have a strong compliance mind-set. You are an effective executer with a structured working habit and have good interpersonal skills, are capable of facilitating challenging stakeholders in a professional, convincing and solution-oriented manner. You solve challenges with fact-based analytics, through team-based problem solving and with a clear understanding of direction and end products.
