Aim of the project
At NNE, we’re committed to develop and communicate today's front-end technology to a pharma industry in rapid change. The industry has an increasing focus on product protection, predictive maintenance, operator safety and OPEX, and all this drives the need for highly automated production facilities.
In this project, the target is to help reduce reactive maintenance or breakdowns in production facilities. AMS systems make it possible to collect data. Analyzing this data makes it possible to predict best possible time for maintenance of instruments, and – in the long run – avoid damage to essential production facilities. In the end, we hope your thesis project can helps us identify elements in building an even stronger AMS system, or perhaps improve the data (or generate more data) from specific instruments to predict effective time for maintenance.
Helping our customers towards more predictive maintenance, means helping the pharma industry towards using bus communication (e.g. profibus PA, profinet etc.) as their primary form of communication for their instruments. With this, we can create a great opportunity to receive an extra amount of data from the different instruments, instead of only receiving the data relevant for running the process. These data can be transferred to an AMS system for processing, analyzing and hopefully increase the amount of predictive maintenance and thereby reduce breakdowns.
In NNE, we solve around 1300 small and large projects a year, and we strive to ensure that your time at NNE is meaningful and developing – also for us, as we hope your thesis project can help us getting even closer to solving a core challenge of pharma engineering.

How you might spend your days

- Asset management systems.

- Visit to customer sites for inspection or supervision.
- Working with a team of instrumentation engineers based between our offices in Virum and Kalundborg.
