If yes, then this opportunity might be just for you. We are looking for an experienced Lead Siting Development Engineer to join our team in Aarhus, which continuously ensures, that Vestas delivers top quality site suitability assessments.

Vestas have been an industry leader in applying high-performance computing, CFD and meteorology for site suitability assessment for almost a decade. Global siting uses this best in class knowledge to offer our customers the most optimized site solutions. Siting development is a small team which links innovation into the site suitability assessment process. You will be a part of a team which continuously ensure Vestas is best in class on site suitability assessment. You will be working across departments to ensure high quality is implemented in the tools used in the large siting community in Vestas.

You will be working across departments to ensure high quality is implemented in the tools used in the large siting community in Vestas.
Responsibilities
Your role in Siting Development will amongst other be:
- To be main responsible for Siting process and instructions
- To improve quality and consistency of the Vestas Siting Process and Siting tools
- To visualize and promote Siting to internal/external stakeholders.
- To hold a high level of understanding of competence areas within Siting as well as bringing feedback from internal users, customers and external collaborators into the Vestas Siting Process.
- To work closely with specialists/engineers across departments to determine the technical solutions.
- To drive the automation of Siting calculations.
- To clearly communicate the purpose of Siting and get buy in from the surrounding organization.
Qualifications
- You hold a Master of Science within energy conversion systems or similar
- You hold at least five years of experience within site suitability assessment (Wind&Site)
- You know and understand the complexity of dynamically loaded systems, for example FLEX5
- You are a skilled user of WASP/ WindPRO/ Windfarmer/ OpenWind
- You hold knowledge of the Hybrid solutions, combinations of Wind, Solar, batteries, power2X
- You possess great collaboration skills
- You are fluent and clear in written in English

- Ability to contribute and handle multiple projects at the same time
- Outgoing and having good communication and change management skills
- Able to navigate large organizations
