Research Scientist: Formulation & Delivery, Global Research Technology
Do you want to be a key player in Drug discovery research? Formulation & Delivery department in Måløv, Denmark, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated colleague who share our ambition to develop the new pharmaceuticals which will help us improve the quality of life for patients around the world.
About the department
Formulation & Delivery is dedicated to deliver formulations of all molecular modalities for preclinical studies within all therapeutic areas globally in our research organisation. We utilise advanced analytical and pharmaceutical technologies to achieve quality in what we deliver. We work closely together with scientists in pharmacology, biology and technology inside Novo Nordisk as well as with both industry and academic partners outside Novo Nordisk.
The position
Your responsibility will be to be part of a highly motivated team with strong expertise, and well equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, ensuring advanced formulation and biophysics research and characterisation at a high level.
You will be part of interdisciplinary research project teams comprising diverse competencies spanning across multiple natural sciences and engineering disciplines in our global R&D organization.
You will be responsible for designing and conducting experiments within formulation and biophysics. You will have impact on research and drug development by bringing your knowledge within molecular characteristics, formulation and biophysics in combination with an understanding of in vivo studies as well as in vitro biology studies into play. This job will offer you a high level of independency and flexibility within the research project framework and you will work closely together with other departments in Denmark or our research sites outside Denmark.
Qualifications
You must hold a PhD degree in Life Sciences (biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, engineering or other relevant discipline) and have a proven record of relevant research.
You have practical experience and state-of-the-art knowledge within protein formulation and biophysics, and value to use it in combinations with other life science areas. Experience with chromatography and light scattering as well as an understanding of automation and digitalisation is highly favourable.
You have a flexible mind-set and find it motivating to work in a dynamic project environment. You are a team player with a constructive attitude who takes pride in working with and understanding scientific challenges. You should value knowledge sharing with other scientists, as well as with our experienced laboratory technicians. You possess good networking and communication skills. You are creative in finding solutions to scientific challenges encountered during your research. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is a prerequisite.
