The position
The Non-Clinical Data Products Specialist is responsible for the creation and management of data products that are used across Non-Clinical to gain insights and operational efficiencies that impact the drug portfolio. This role will determine the data products that are required, identify relevant internal and external data, automate data processing pipelines, design data models, and select data management technology.
This strategically important role will focus on serving up quality data to colleagues that enable critical questions to be addressed that impact the portfolio. User of the data products will span from managers who are accessing the data through dashboards to data scientists running AI/ML algorithms. This role will also be responsible for the flexible integration of data across data products to address novel use cases.
Your key areas of responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Create Non-Clinical data products that meet the ongoing needs of colleagues through deep understanding of scientific use cases
• Create, manage, and integrate data products
• Adopt data governance practices to ensure data products are of sufficient quality
• Ensure data use guidelines and policies are adhered to
The successful candidate will have experience with technologies for data processing and management and will have strong awareness of the maturing technology landscape. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of creating business results with impact at the VP level.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you have:
• Minimum of 3 years of data engineering experience
• Experience working with healthcare and/or life sciences data
• Outstanding communication skills for working with colleagues at different levels in the company and in different disciplines
About the department
You will be part of the Data Management & Informatics (DMI) department, where we are responsible for providing scientific data and software products to support the global research and early development organisation at Novo Nordisk. Our work spans driving digitalisation of laboratories, enabling scientific data capture, creating harmonized data for analytics, and providing informatics tools. We enable disruptive innovation and data driven decision making across areas that include disease understanding, molecular design, portfolio management and external scouting. We have a strong focus on employee engagement, and on developing and retaining talent.
