About the Area and the Team
Global Medical Affairs (GMA) Diabetes is responsible for building and delivering consistent scientific communication across all phases of clinical trials. We have a high sense of commitment, respect and strive for a workday with interesting tasks, learnings and a good and open atmosphere.
The team, Icodec & Insulin Piepeline Team, is responsible for the insulin portfolio from early research to launching projects. Across five focus areas we build clinically relevant medical narratives and secure one global medical voice for all insulin projects.
The Position
The Icodec and Insulin Pipeline Team is growing with the strong insulin pipeline in Novo Nordisk and there are currently two new positions as Global Medical Manager in the team.
As Global Medical Manager, your tasks will involve driving a strong scientific dialogue with special focus on insulin icodec, a once-weekly insulin, or IcoSema, a fixed-ratio combination of once-weekly insulin and once-weekly semaglutide.
As Global Medical Manager you will provide timely, accurate and credible scientific and medical input for a variety of projects related to insulin treatment and diabetes. Your main tasks involve effective collaboration and communication with medical doctors that are Key Opinion Leaders, and internal stakeholders across commercial, patient access, global development, safety and other functional areas.
With your background as a medical doctor you will be trusted to provide medical input to clinical trials that includes trial design, protocol development, and investigator selection and at later stages to drive the scientific dialogue based on the results from these trials. The job will give you an opportunity to connect with Key Opinion Leaders and gather medical and scientific information that can optimize product development and treatment of patients. You will play a key role in developing publications based on clinical trial results which requires your ability to interact with authors, statisticians, medical writers, and other stakeholders. In addition to this you will guide various teams that are actively involved in developing promotional materials and other legal and medical aspects of the projects.
Qualifications
You are a Medical Doctor with at least 2 years of experience in clinical practice or research or both. If you have previous pharmaceutical industry experience and/or experience in clinical medicine or research within diabetes it would be an advantage. A Ph.D. degree is considered a plus but is not mandatory. You must be action-oriented with a strong drive and focus on results, preferably extrovert and engaged with strong communication skills. You are a team-player with good peer relationships, high integrity and good at solving problems. You are fluent in both spoken and written English (corporate language). You should expect international travel of approximately 20% every year. Relocation to Denmark is recommended and preferred.
