The position
Reporting to the Vice President – Legal Business Development, Digital Health & Trademarks, your main responsibilities will focus on drafting and negotiating, structuring, and counseling on various types of complex agreements such as key research and development collaborations, global license agreements, and transactional intellectual property matters.
You will be expected to develop solutions to new and challenging issues in a changing environment; and contribute to the ongoing development of the legal team and cultivate a highly collaborative culture.
You will partner with a diverse range of stakeholders within the business and across Global Legal, including working closely with Research & Development, the global Business Development teams, headquarters staff as well as other global legal colleagues on various strategic projects.

You will be a key member of the ambitious, dynamic and international Legal Business Development & Trademarks team, which comprises of 8 professionals providing legal advice and support to Novo Nordisk’s global Business Development teams, Global Research, Devices & Delivery Solutions and Digital Health, including on matters such as Merger & Acquisitions, global Intellectual Property licensing transactions and other global strategic collaborations.
The Legal Business Development & Trademarks team is located in Novo Nordisk’s headquarters in Bagsværd, Denmark, as part of Global Legal & Patents. Novo Nordisk’s Global Legal organization has more than 250 global legal colleagues situated at +40 locations around the world. As part of the Global Legal organisation, you would also be involved with cross-functional global legal projects and will have opportunities, both in Denmark and abroad, for further professional development.

The position

You will partner with a diverse range of stakeholders within the business and across Global Legal, including working closely with Research & Development, the global Business Development teams, headquarters staff as well as other global legal colleagues on various strategic projects.
Qualifications
As an ideal candidate, you have:
- Law degree from a recognized university and admission in your home jurisdiction
- Minimum 5 years of experience from a major law firm or relevant in-house legal department
- Proven track record drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements
- Experience with intellectual property issues or life science industry preferred
- Danish language skills are not required

- International mind-set and enjoy being part of a global work environment
- Ability to manage numerous and changing priorities effectively, meet deadlines and work independently as well as in a team environment

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and can work well with a variety of internal clients in cross-functional teams and interacts effectively and professionally with all levels within the organisation
