The position In the Cardiovascular & Kidney project area, we offer the opportunity of becoming part of our project team and taking part in the early clinical development of new products. We are currently planning several early clinical development programs for the treatment of cardiovascular, kidney and other serious chronic diseases. Consequently, the different clinical research teams are conducting and planning several clinical pharmacology trials. Your main responsibility will be to:
  • Drive clinical pharmacology trials from a biostatistical perspective

  • Represent Biostatistics in cross-functional teams

  • Take an active role in the project development plans, trial designs and protocols

  • Conducting the statistical analyses

  • Evaluating clinical pharmacology results

    • You will be interacting with many different stakeholders such as research scientists, clinical pharmacology scientist, pharmacometricians, data managers, medical doctors, safety surveillance advisers and medical writers. You will need to clearly communicate statistical concepts and ideas to all our stakeholders and ensure cross-functional collaboration. We therefore expect you to take part in some of the many initiatives that takes place throughout the organisation for us to reach our goals.  Qualifications   The ideal candidate should as a minimum you meet the following requirements:
  • Strong background in statistics corresponding to MSc or PhD (or equivalent area)

  • 5 years of experience within clinical or bio-statistical research

  • Act as driver and leading member of the project teams you are part of

  • Independently and proactively set direction

  • Flexible and positive mindset

    • It will be a strong advantage if you have:
  • PhD in Statistics (or other relevant area).

  • Experience from a pharmaceutical company or other global organisation

  • Demonstrated expertise in project management and supervision of colleagues

  • In-depth understanding of clinical pharmacology trials

  • Proficiency in SAS, R or other programming languages
