As a key member of our team, you will join a passionate group of diverse and motivated global colleagues with clinical, research, and pharmaceutical experience. In this role, you will take on important responsibilities such as insight gathering and expert network building within one or more of our current therapeutic areas (such as Parkinson’s disease), as well as work on projects shared across our portfolio, for example relating to Independent Professional and Patient Associations. Additionally, you will be responsible for supporting strategic assessments of external opportunities for new assets and providing guidance to our R&D unit by offering clinical and medical input. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Bringing the outside perspective, especially the patient and HCP (Health Care Professional) voice, to our organization.
• Leading strategic projects within or outside of the product-specific GPTs.
• Collaborating closely with key stakeholders from various cross-functional teams.
• Proactive approach in identifying synergies across medical activities and strategies within our team.
• Lead Integrated Evidence Planning (IEP) and execute relevant projects within evidence generation.
• Build and execute strategies for preparing the external ecosystem for the arrival of cell therapies.
• Successfully collaborate and communicate with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and internal stakeholders, including regional teams, affiliates, marketing, patient access, development, and regulatory affairs. The Global Medical Director will report to the Senior Global Medical Director, Rare Endocrine Disorders & Cell Therapy, Global Medical Affairs Rare Disease. International travel of approximately 10-20% per year should be expected.
Qualifications You are motivated to improve the lives of patients and you are a Medical Doctor with experience in neurology, transplantation, or immunology. To succeed in the role, you possess the following qualities and skills: • At least 5 years of sub-specialty clinical experience and/or pharmaceutical industry experience in medical affairs
• Proven track record in clinical medicine, clinical research, and development
• Experience working in cross-functional, international teams in a matrix organization.
• Ability to think strategically and tactically about how innovation can support patient diagnosis and management.
• Solid project management and communication skills that enable you to push projects independently to completion within designated timelines.
• Have a proactive nature that allows for the anticipation of both opportunities and challenges, coupled with the initiative to effectively address them. About the Department
Cell Therapy is a small team in the Novo Nordisk Rare Disease Organisation, located in Søborg, Copenhagen, Denmark.
