Position Description
STipe Therapeutics is currently searching for a proactive and motivated senior scientist to join our biology research team in our Aarhus laboratories. Based on our unique understanding of the cGAS-STING pathway, we are developing novel medicines for the treatment of cancers and autoimmune diseases. As a Senior Scientist in our biology team, you will be part of an exciting and growing team dedicated to the discovery and development of novel STING-targeting medicines for the treatment of solid tumors and immunological disorders.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in immunology/inflammation research at post-doctoral level. This should include significant experience in flow cytometry, RNA sequencing, microscopy and cell imaging, and cell biology techniques including western blotting and ELISA. The ideal candidate enjoys working in an innovative and fast-paced environment and actively contributes to the maintenance of high-quality laboratory practice. It is essential that the incumbent is a team-player and has strong communication skills.

Key Skills and Qualifications
Essential requirements:
- A PhD in a relevant area such as inflammation and/or cancer biology
- At least two years post-doctoral work experience
- Substantial experience with flow cytometry analysis of immune cell subsets and use of FloJo data analysis
- Extensive experience with cell imaging including immunohistochemistry and confocal microscopy
- Experience in cell culturing of both primary and cell lines
- Experience of transient and stable transfections in mammalian cell culture
- Confident in ELISAs and general qPCR
- Ideally experience in RNA sequencing of mammalian cells
- Strong communication skills in English, both orally and written.
- Confident outlook and proactive scientist
Preferable:
- Experience of mentoring junior colleagues
- Experience of presenting complex data to wide audiences
