We are searching for a highly qualified, thorough and motivated researcher for a two year position at the Department of Public Health, at University of Copenhagen, Denmark starting 1 March 2024 or as soon as possible hereafter.

Your job
The postdoc will be part of an interdisciplinary and international research team and mainly involved in CHIPS, a large epidemiological research project with focus on health effects of prenatal exposure to acrylamide from diet, as well as other early life epidemiological research and participating in the daily duties of the Department.
The successful candidate will be responsible of sophisticated statistical analyses of complex data obtained from national registries, large birth cohorts and biomarker analysis of blood. The specific work tasks will include data manangement of large studies, scientific work related to dietary intake and health, statistical analysis of data, writing scientific papers and presentation of findings at professional meetings.
The postdoctoral research fellow will also be encouraged and mentored to develop new proposals and research initiatives to support additional research. Exchange stays with collaborating research centers will be optional. Over the course of the position, opportunities to teach at either the graduate or undergraduate level exist.

The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.
Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.
Non-Danish and Danish applicants may be eligible for tax reductions, if they hold a PhD degree and have not been tax liable in Denmark the last 10 years.
The Postdoc position is a full time (37 working hours weekly)

Profile
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic scientist with the following competencies and experience:
- PhD in Epidemiology, Public Health, Medicine, Data Science, Statistics/Biostatistics, or other relevant disciplines
- Excellent skills in quantitative analysis and highly experienced in working with large and complex dataset, preferable also register-based studies and FFQ-data are preferred
- Active interest in Early Life Environmental Epidemiology and experience in SAS, R and/or Stata would be an asset
- Strong English, scientific writing and oral communications skills, as well as the ability to work independently, effectively and collaboratively.
