Postdoc of Field
Department/Museum
Faculty of Science
University of Copenhagen
We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to work in the intersection of Human-computer Interaction and Artificial Intelligence. The position is associate with the Humane-AI net, an EU project of 53 partners, which investigates Human-centered artificial intelligence. At the University of Copenhagen, the project is associated with both the Machine Learning section (Prof. Christian Igel) and Human-centered Computing section (Prof. Kasper Hornbæk).
The candidate will work on models of human-AI interaction and collaboration, creating user interfaces that implement such models and designing and running empirical studies that explore them. Therefore, knowledge of human-computer interaction, intelligent user interfaces, machine learning, and computational models of interaction is essential. The day-to-day work will be in collaboration with Kasper Hornbæk, and the focus is, therefore, on human-computer interaction.
The position is two years full-time in the Section on Human-centered Computing at the Department of Computer Science, University of Copenhagen (www.di.ku.dk). The University wishes our staff to reflect society's diversity and thus welcomes applications from all qualified candidates regardless of personal background.
Why do a PostDoc at University of Copenhagen?
We offer a research environment with much freedom: to a large extent, you shape the research you work on and the ideas you pursue. The section on Human-centered Computing aspires to be a top research environment for human-computer interaction that bridges technology, theory, and empirical studies; we have a regular presence at CHI and UIST and do well in rankings (like www.csrankings.org). We are located in Copenhagen, consistently recognized as one of the world’s most-livable cities, in the country of Denmark, ranked as one of the top three happiest countries in the world.
Qualifications
Further information on the Department is linked at http://www.science.ku.dk/english/about-the- faculty/organisation/. Inquiries about the position can be made to Professor Kasper Hornbæk, [email protected], +45 30957883
