We are looking for a Purchaser to join our very ambitious team in Global Procurement.
Global Procurement Powertrain, Nacelles & Towers Electrical
Vestas Global Procurement is responsible for all procurement activities within Vestas, including leading cross functional commodity teams, negotiations and contract management, development of end-2-end cost out initiatives, commodity strategy development and supplier relationship management.
The category for which the purchaser is needed is Electrical. This area consists of multiple suppliers spread out over the globe with a 3-digit million EUR spend per year. This position is related to NPI Purchasing in the Electrical Department and being part of a global team, which consist of employees in Denmark, Tainjin and Chennai. The team is characterised by a strong team spirit where people has a true interest in each other.
Responsibilities
You will join an energetic team with a very high level of strategic exposure within Vestas. Your everyday activities will be characterised by a very high activity level and requirement to engage in-, manage and prioritise between multiple different projects. Overall expected deliverables include:

Responsibilities
You will join an energetic team with a very high level of strategic exposure within Vestas. Your everyday activities will be characterised by a very high activity level and requirement to engage in-, manage and prioritise between multiple different projects. Overall expected deliverables include:
- Participate in strategy and roadmap development (Act on behalf of the CMT's towards the project/IPD)
- Align internally in the Electrical Category for the Platform Launches (Timelines, forecast, supplier categories etc)
- Early supplier involvement - focusing on complexity reduction, design to cost, standardisation, capacity risks
- Participate in cross functional projects across CMT's in the Category
Qualifications
- Newly graduated with a degree in either Supply Chain Management, Finance/Accounting, Sales/Marketing, Engineering or hold minimum 5 years of work experience within Strategic Purchasing
- Excellent communication skills including fluent in Danish and English (both orally and in writing)
- Proven record of strong stakeholder management skills incl. experience with communication
- Advanced skills within PPT, Excel and Word are a must
- SAP experience is an advantage but not a requirement
- Experience with mechanical components an advantage
