The Downstream and Chemical Development departments are constantly aiming at transforming our purification and modification technologies through a number of strategic projects in close collaboration with internal and external partners. We have recently embarked on a digitalization journey and are therefore looking at expanding our department with a new Data Engineer position.
About the departments
We are part of Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC) within the Research and Development organisation. In this job you will be supporting two departments (Downstream and Chemical Development). We are dedicated departments of highly specialised and experienced employees consisting of scientists and laboratory technicians. As departments we are engaged in process design for the supply of clinical material and future manufacturing.
We take responsibility for our process development through our data-driven approach, scientific understanding and good interactions with our partners in Research, Pilot plants, CMOs and Manufacturing.
The position
As a Data Engineer you will, together with the colleagues that work with process development, look at our data generating flow, while ensuring that we live up to internal and external requirements with regards to data availability and IT Security. You will proactively take learnings from other projects going on in the area and you will provide the department with new possibilities within digitalization and improvements within working processes. You will hold an important role for your colleges when global projects are rolled out.
Qualifications
You hold a degree within a relevant Engineering or Scientific discipline. Ideally, you have experience within one or several of the following disciplines: protein purification, chemical modification or synthesis. You have applied data analysis and preparation, database development and maintenance and data model design within the above disciplines. The ideal candidate also has experience with the following programming languages: SQL, VBA, Python, MatLab or similar languages. Experience within GMP or Good IT Practice is considered an advantage.
In this role, we emphasize accountability and reaching goals through a collaborative effort, so excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability collaborate with domain experts are essential. Additionally, you enjoy responsibility, are eager to take initiatives and to deliver within agreed timelines.
