Would you like to take up the challenge of decarbonizing Maersk’s fleet of container ships as Project Engineer at Maersk’s Copenhagen headquarters?
You will be an integral part of A P Moller – Maersk’s decarbonization journey working within Fleet Technology.
Fleet Technology is a specialized maritime engineering competence center responsible for ship design, retrofit and expert support to the Maersk Line fleet of more than 300 container vessels.
Fleet Technology delivers the complete project lifecycle covering new buildings, ship conversions, technical innovation, vessel recycling and a variety of other specialist technical services to the Maersk fleet.

You will be working on projects with a large variation in complexity and size, directly impacting how our vessels are operated in the future.

You will be responsible for supporting the design and implementation of modifications to the existing fleet.
Your primary responsibilities will be:
• Using Maersk’s extensive fleet data, gather, validate, and process it to support commercial and compliance strategy.
• Initiate, implement and manage retrofit projects that reduce fuel consumption and help to decarbonise our ships
• Work effectively to drive external suppliers and stakeholders towards our goals
• Facilitate excellent communication and cooperation between teams within Maersk
• Continuously be open minded to new emerging decarbonisation technologies, bring them into the fold and evaluate their potential for future implementation

Requirements:
• You have a Master’s degree in mechanical, marine or offshore engineering or in a similar field
• You have a good understanding of coding, data analytics, data validation and processing. Experience with Python is highly advantageous
The following skills are not required but may benefit you further in this role:
• You have between 2-3 years professional experience
• You have good team working skills and enjoy taking the initiative
• You are a confident communicator, with the ability to discuss topics with colleagues from technical and non-technical departments
• It will be a benefit if you can document prior experience in working on marine and offshore projects with a mechanical focus, but it is not essential, and you will have the opportunity to develop in this area
