With direct reference to our Head of Legal - Compliance and Procurement/Data Protection Officer, you will become a part of our Commercial and Legal Services department, consisting of 20 highly skilled legal and technical professionals with competences within general legal advice, compliance, contract, risk- and bid management, IP and information security. Within this broader group, you will be part of a small Compliance and Procurement team, where there is plenty of room for you and your development.
Legal Counsel with commercial approach
In the newly established position as our Legal Counsel you will get a key role in developing our legal function relating to sourcing and compliance, as well as supporting the whole Kamstrup group in our global expansion. Your primary focus will be to function as a legal advisor for the business relating to Kamstrup’s sourcing. You will advise many different types of colleagues, working within a broad area of fields – including our support functions, IT, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain and R&D located at our headquarter. Moreover, you will function as an adviser within a number of legal compliance disciplines globally – with focus on disciplines related to business ethics. Kamstrup is a complex business, and as such, it is important that you are open to and comfortable in investigating and advising in a broad area of different fields of law.

Your personality is important to us
We are looking for a talented Legal Counsel with a professional background as cand.jur. or cand.merc.jur. and with at least two years’ of experience from a law firm or as an in-house legal advisor. It is a prerequisite that you have experience with contract drafting and an advantage if you have experience within the areas of sourcing and general legal compliance, including business ethics. We expect you to be open to the development and inclusion of legal tech aspects related to the in-house legal function – a concept which we are striving to include to the highest level possible.
As a person, we expect you to be able to work independently, be curious at your colleagues work, and to lean out for your clients as a trusted advisor. In addition, you are structured, have good empathic skills and communicates clearly.
You are fluent in English and Danish both written and oral

- Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts with suppliers and partners, ranging from smaller to significant and complex contracts
- Support the business in risk management through the use of contracts
- Provide support to various departments with claims and disputes
- Ensure solid governance related to contract drafting and compliance
- Train employees in a number of relevant legal disciplines related to legal compliance – in particular business ethics
- Advice the business on legal compliance questions
