About the department

The department Analytical Development & Support is a part of Manufacturing Development in Diabetes Finished Products (DFP) consist of 71 employees divided in 4 different teams.

The departments responsibilities are validation and re-validation of analytical methods. Transfer of new methods from development to DFP QC laboratories. Beside that we provide support to DFP on analyses and equipment, optimize method performance and perform analysis related tasks to development products, stability, costumer complaints and validation.

You will join Method Development and Validation a dynamic team of 15 colleagues of academics and laboratory technician. Our main responsibility is to develop, validate and implement analytical methods. We are a team of highly skilled and dedicated employees, who constantly strive towards fit for purpose laboratories solutions and even though we are very busy, we never forget to have fun and helping each other.

The position

As Analytical Chemist you will work closely with the chemists and laboratory technicians in the department to develop and validate and implement new analytical methods.

Your primary focus will be a variety of chromatographic analyses (assay, purity and HMWP) using HPLC and UPLC, however a broad understanding of analytical methods in general is an advantage. You will be responsible for development and validation of the analytical method, prepare protocol, report and draft analytical procedures and providing support to the laboratory technicians throughout their daily operations. The analytical methods mostly cover chromatographic methods (HPLC/UPLC).

A high GMP and compliance mind-set is required. This gives a variety of analytical challenges and strong collaboration with your colleagues is therefore an essential key to success.

Furthermore, you will get to collaborate with colleagues from other CMC and QA to reach the best results.

The position is a 24 months temporary hire.

Qualifications

You have an academic degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Engineering or another relevant field within the Natural Sciences. Your degree is supplemented with 3-5 years of experience from a similar job in which you have gained in-depth knowledge of working with GMP in a laboratory environment. Strong practical and theoretical experience within chemical analyses will be required.

On a personal level, you have a high level of energy to drive yourself and your colleagues forward. You are result-oriented and take pride in delivering on your milestones, and you motivate your colleagues with a positive, forthcoming attitude. You work well independently, although it also motivates you to cooperate with colleagues and stakeholders across functions and departments. Lastly, you must have fluency in written and spoken Danish and English.
