We are looking for an innovative Chemist or Chemical Engineer preferably with some practical experience and interest to support the process development of the fermentation downstream processes (DSP) at BioPhero. We are looking for an innovative Chemist or Chemical Engineer preferably with some practical experience and interest to support the process development of the fermentation downstream processes (DSP) at BioPhero. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, perform, analyse, and document laboratory and pilot-scale (prototype) development and trials, including fermentation recovery, purification methods, and synthesis methods.
- Create new production routes for BioPhero's products, considering practical scale-up, product economy, and environmental sustainability.
- Participate actively in full-scale design, exercises, and production runs. In-house or with external partners.
Qualifications:
- Chemical Engineering degree or chemist degree preferably with practical experience.
- Demonstrated success in developing organic chemistry methods in lab or pilot scale – experience with oily products is a plus, but not a requirement.
- Hands-on experience with standard unit operations, including recovery and purification.
- Hands-on experience with upscaling chemical methods from laboratory to industrial scale
- Experience with technology transfer and process documentation
- Excellent data keeping and analysis skills
- Team player with a focus on delivering results
- Fluent in English, verbal and writing
