Your responsibilities as Chemist/Engineer

As a Chemist/Engineer in our Blade Coatings team, you will be working in the new Hempel’s state-of-the-art laboratories. You will have very diverse tasks depending on the project and how it evolves. Some of the key tasks you will have in this position include:

• Carrying out laboratory work, bringing to completion R&D assignments thoroughly and conforming to demanding timelines.
• Supporting the development of new products and coating solutions for wind turbines, blades in particular.
• Testing product performance and evaluating application methods.
• Supporting the qualification of our products for key customers.
• Providing timely updates on project status, using good data collection and analytical skills, and producing detailed and accurate technical reports with recommendations and conclusions.
• Actively contributing with ideas for innovative coating solutions and application processes.
• Establishing productive cross-functional relationships with internal and external partners.
• Initiating and cultivating scientific exchange with internal and external associates.

What does it take to become a Chemist/Engineer at Hempel?

We assume that you hold a degree in a technically related field. Previous laboratory experience would be an advantage but is not a requirement.

With this, we expect that you will bring:

• Laboratory skills
• Solid scientific knowledge
• Rigorous data manipulation and analysis skills
• Basic project management skills
• Mastery in both spoken and written English (required)

As Chemist/Engineer you will be working in a group of passionate scientists in our Blade Coatings team, based in Lundtofte, in the Copenhagen area. We strive everyday to develop the best solutions in the market for our customers in an efficient and sustainable manner, so you will have a key role in expanding our competences and capabilities within this field.

You will be referring to the Blade Coatings R&D Manager and join a team of six people.
