About the department
Innovation is a newly established unit in Novo Nordisk. The team itself is a part of the Digital Incubator & Innovation area, and focuses on three main areas:
- The creation of an innovation-lab that will allow communities to come together to innovate and build a passionate culture,
- Establishing space for experimentations supporting initiatives that challenge status quo and leverage new technologies, and
- Technology scouting to help augment our internal processes and ultimately support patients.
The core focus is to remain forward-looking and showcase strong adaptability. Furthermore, the team is and must be working in a highly agile manner and be able to shift its focus based on rapidly changing opportunities and threats within emerging technologies. Consequentially, you should expect the team structure to be dynamic as well.
The position
As a Digital Innovation & Communications Intern, you will be assisting the team with creating, implementing, and contributing to a digital communications strategy for the department. You will also be involved with researching technology trends and ensuring that the team has the most up-to-date views and perspectives on digital innovation.
You will also be responsible for organizing communications-related events, including guest speaker keynotes and special workshops or events. You should expect a big responsibility in this role with an opportunity to act as a coordinator for events that will have a global appeal, alongside smaller tasks associated with event coordination.
Qualifications
We are looking for a person with experience and passion for communicating about disruptive innovation and staying at the forefront of the digital innovation agenda. You should be able to tailor messages to relevant stakeholders, navigate the landscape of technologies and translate uncertainties into tangible opportunities for Novo Nordisk.
We expect you to have a passionate interest in digital innovation and communications, and currently enrolled in a studies rooted in communications with a focus on emerging technologies and/or innovation, and a track record that includes one or more of the following:
• A track record of taking ownership and driving results with the ability to perform in high-pressure environments
• Knowledge and passion for digital trends
• Vivid and curious learner
• Eagerness to be a part of building something new and challenge traditional methodologies
You should also be well-articulated, have excellent business English skills (oral and written), and crucially have a keen eye for design, with familiarity in creating communications materials for platforms such as Microsoft Outlook. Experience with Microsoft Sharepoint and Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign is a bonus.
