Do you want to bring strategy to life and drive internal change in a global communications role with high impact and great development opportunities? Do you want to play a key role in positioning Svitzer towards our customers as a safe, efficient and innovative towage and marine solutions partner? Svitzer A/S, world leading towage operator and part of Maersk, is looking for two self-driven and proactive communications professionals with business acumen, excellent oral and written English skills and a passion for driving internal and external high impact communications across a global organisation.
We offer two permanent positions with great career development opportunities as part of a lean global communications team covering Svitzer’s four geographical regions and the global head office. Today, Svitzer owns and operates 400 vessels in 32 countries across four regions, employs 3,900 employees and service more than 150 ports and terminals across the globe. Svitzer is industry leading and is working to maintain our world leading position, and drive change and transform the markets in which we operate.
As our new colleague, you will be a key player in further strengthening our communication platform, channels and activities from A-Z in a highly exciting and international operational business environment where communication plays a significant role in realising the strategy. You will get a broad network within Svitzer as well as in the Maersk Group, where learning and development opportunities are numerous.
Some travelling and flexibility to accommodate four different geographies and time zones is to be expected.
Key responsibilities for the Communications Partner:
• Function as communications partner to the Americas region and the AMEA region, working closely with the regional MD, HR and Commercial teams
• Act as communications sparring partner for and provide support to global functions
• Provide timely and targeted sparring and advisory to the regions on their internal and external communications and ensure alignment btw regional and global initiatives and agendas
• Drive change communications initiatives initiated by the leadership team, functions or regions, e.g. strategy roll-out, annual employee engagement survey, annual safety day and ad hoc strategic initiatives
Key responsibilities for the Communications Consultant:
• Manage the global editorial pipeline and channels in close collaboration with Communication, HR and Commercial teams in our four regions
• Collaboration with all relevant stakeholders to create, activate and coordinate compelling editorial content for all channels, supporting the positioning of the company both internally and in the industry.
• Support change communications initiatives driven by the leadership team, functions and regions, e.g. strategy roll-out, annual employee engagement survey, annual safety day and ad hoc strategic initiatives
We are looking for two new colleagues, who will be report to our Global Head of Communication and work out of the global Svitzer head office in Copenhagen.
Communications Partner
Our new Communications Partner will own the communications advisory and support to the Americas region and the AMEA (Africa Middle East and Asia) as well as support our global functions. While reporting to the Global Head of Communications in Copenhagen, you will be collaborating closely with senior stakeholders in the two regions and the functions on planning and executing impactful communications and change initiatives.
For this role, we are looking for a candidate with a master’s degree in corporate communication at least 8-10 years of experience with corporate communications, a strong business acumen and proven capabilities within strategic communications advisory. We are seeking an experienced communications partner who still believes that hands-on production of material and content is an integral part of being a successful partner to the business. Excellent oral and written English skills is a perquisite.
Communications Consultant
Our new Communications Consultant will play a key role in bringing Svitzer’s business strategy to life by creating and activating compelling content and overseeing our global internal and external communications channels.
For this role, we are looking for a candidate with a master’s degree in communication or a degree in journalism plus 2-3 years relevant job experience within corporate communications and content creation. The internal communication in Svitzer is based on O365 tools and the digital collaboration workspace. It is important that you have a professional interest in social and digital media as modern channels for corporate communication and that you see them as key channels for engagement of Svitzer’s internal and external stakeholders. Excellent oral and written English skills is a perquisite.
Start date is soonest possible.
