As Junior Management Consultant, you will be a part of Corporate Strategy function in VIKING that works with several strategic disciplines. That involves facilitating the corporate strategy process, supporting business development activities, providing an overview of projects, and supporting the acquisition process. Additionally, the function works as internal consultants in the VIKING group. You will join a small, dedicated, and an energetic team of colleagues, which has a high-level responsibility, exposure, and focus from top management.
The position
In this role, you will work with many different tasks. You will together, with the rest of the strategy team and with CEO as a key stakeholder, assist in driving the corporate strategy implementation, including co-leading the process and providing the governance needed for executing our strategy. You will also provide executive support including the annual business planning process, strategy workshops, presentations to BoD, etc.
Additionally, you will be a part of project groups working with internal VIKING consultancy jobs. Here, you will report to the Team Lead and be a key player in solving tasks. You will also assist with ad hoc analytical requirements to be used with more complex business cases, with a focus on CAPEX and OPEX considerations.
This position offers you an excellent opportunity to work with strategy and business development, in direct contact with our top management and other senior leaders. It will provide you with development opportunities, as the department has broad exposure to different tasks and networks across the full organization. The position will report directly to our Vice President of Strategy & Digital.
Your profile
You have a Master's degree and are either, a recent graduate at the top of your class or have 1-2 years of experience from a management consulting company or a similar kind of experience from the industry. As a person, you are recognized for your strong analytical mindset and stakeholder management skills.
You are ambitious, have attention to details, and deliver high-quality results at a pace. You are a team player and value winning together, but can also work independently. You have excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills. You are success orientated and change-ready, are a professional, and work with integrity and an enterprise mindset.
This position will include up to 40 international travel days a year.
