MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company continues to invest and lead the world container market with ships, an extensive container fleet, intermodal, and dedicated staff for its customers. The Company’s evolution to its leading brand needs consistency to market, and therefore it is paramount to standardise data, process, and management information.

Within the Business Transformation team and under its governance, the Regional Digital Solutions Specialist mission is to act as an advocate and be the focal point within the EMEA region to promote internally and externally all MSC’s digital solutions. From the channels with MyMSC.com, EDI, ecommerce platforms to our products such as smart containers, eBL and Tradelens, you will establish strong and meaningful relationships with relevant stakeholders to gain real insight and adoption. The Digital Solution Specialist will be responsible for identifying and developing new opportunities for MSC. This is a great moment to be a part of a new strategic initiative within the Business Transformation organization. You will work closely with the regional teams to meet demanding growth targets over the coming years and support MSC’s Go To Market team in Geneva. You will work out of our Copenhagen office.

MAIN REPONSIBILITIES

The Regional Digital Solutions Specialist will:

  • Educate MSC Agencies within the Region
    • Bethe focal point of contact for the Agencies whenever a customer expresses an interest on a specific topic

  • Strategize the client portfolio in MSC and promote Digital solutions:
    • Launch search for new or existing customers
    • Develop, validate, qualify, and close sales opportunities
    • Develop and maintain effective customer relationships
    • Promote MSC new digital solutions or/and products to cross sell, close deals, and grow sales

  • Deliver an agreed number of sales call targets, communicate the schedule and outcome using MSC’s CRM system to follow through the complete customer sales journey
  • Manage the pre-sales & post-sales activities or enquiries from clients
  • Trouble shoot and manage clients’ enquiries with relevant teams/departments within MSC Organization

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct benchmark analysis on digital solutions
  • Collect feedback from market and share with recommendations of actions to MSC Geneva
  • Build business case based on internal ROI and customer benefits
  • Work closely with Commercial, IT, Marketing departments (Liners, Global Accounts, MSC agencies) in MSC to ensure end to end sales process improvement (such as preparation of marketing brochures or sales webinar, marketing event and social media outreach)
  • Assist in annual budgeting of digital solutions sales target
  • Prepare necessary reports (sales and pipeline metrics, periodic business reviews, account plans)
  • Implement the Global GTM strategy on digital products
  • Follow up the targets fixed by GTM Geneva team
  • Be the first level of contact in the Direct Integration process with customers
  • Collect feedback on process improvement
  • Promote change

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 5 years of working experience in selling services and business development of IT with
  • proven sales track record
  • Good experience and knowledge of digitalization projects
  • Previous experience in the shipping industry is preferable
  • Strong learning ability, customer orientation, strong sense of responsibility and personal integrity
  • Ability to influence change and onboard internal and external customers on new solutions
  • Must be result driven, strong interpersonal and communication skills, be good at teamwork

  • Fluency in English (oral and written)
