Do you want to take a leading role in one of the greatest successes of Novo Nordisk in Region Europe? As the Ozempic® commercial lead your responsibility is to further accelerate Ozempic® performance across Europe, ensure a record-breaking launch in Germany, ensure we are ready for loss-of-exclusivity of Victoza® and work closely with the Rybelsus® lead on shaping a strong GLP-1 portfolio strategy that significantly expands the entire GLP-1 class to a wider patient population.
About the department
Novo Nordisk Region Europe is the largest region in International Operations covering 36 countries and employing more than 3000 people. We are for the first time in a decade growing market share and have ambition for more.
You will be part of Commercial Operations in Region Europe in the team that focuses on our GLP-1 diabetes portfolio. We are responsible for the development of our commercial strategies and facilitating implementation in Europe for both in-line and pipeline brands. We work to define the strategic potential of pipeline products, developing and executing comprehensive pre-launch and launch plans to secure our success, improve patient outcomes and maintain and grow our product portfolio.
We work in a well-functioning cross-functional business unit spanning market access, medical, marketing, commercial effectiveness, finance and public affairs. In this team you will be the marketing expert and the cross-functional team will look to you for leadership.
The position
You take responsibility both Ozempic® and Victoza® across all of Region Europe. You will be the Region Europe lead on initiatives relating to cardiovascular.
You will develop and implement strategic initiatives in alignment with our global team and ensure local input from our affiliates during the shaping of campaign development and LCM initiatives. You will communicate the brand strategy, positioning and key messages and secure implementation across Europe. You will define KPIs to focus the team on core business priorities and performance tools with Business Information. You will create reports to senior management showing successes, challenges and risks as well as proposed mitigation plans to manage these.
A key part of the job is to have a deep customer and country understanding so you can help affiliates create impactful customer plans and tactics that are prioritised based on biggest potential and highest return on investment. To this end, facilitation of better practices is important.
Qualifications
You have a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and have a broad capability profile. You have worked extensively with life cycle management in operations. Affiliate experience is critical and experience from an international/regional role is an advantage.
You hold a relevant academic degree and you are an expert in all marketing processes including strategy development, market insights generation, tactical brand plan planning/execution and you have a solid experience in commercial excellence. You have strong presentation skills.
As a person you are a natural leader and change-agent and you are known for your strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
The GLP-1 category is currently growing at almost 30% in value in Region Europe and Ozempic® will be the single largest growth contributor in Region Europe for several years. Leading Ozempic® is a great responsibility and a unique opportunity.
