The Position
The NASH Commercial Director will be responsible for shaping and executing on the commercialisation roadmap to bring therapies to patients in a sustainable business model. Novo Nordisk is aiming to become a leading player in NASH which entails creating an entirely new value chain in health care and for Novo Nordisk. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Executing a commercialisation roadmap for the new assets in NASH, securing strong early Therapy Area development as we are launching medicines in areas none or limited treatment options.
- Facilitating the capabilities needed to be succesful in new therapy areas in Region North West Europe.
- Working with globally established partners to identify and implement initiatives that improve gaps in the patient care pathway
- Work with key markets and International Operations and Global to ensure optimal entry and development across the full Novo Nordisk Value Chain.
- Operations preparedness for execution of area development, entry and go-to-market strategy
- Support across the NN value chain, expertise and know-how and secure strong collaboration across the organisation
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you:
- Hold a master's degree within Science or Business, as well as significant proven experience (7+ years at least,) in early commercialisation, portfolio strategy (both short- and long-term), execution of strategy, and a track record of successful major projects that cut across the value chain and are developed with external partners is an asset.
- Direct experience required in at least three of the areas (and exposure in other areas desired):
- Brand Value Communications.
- Customer insight gathering.
- Customer value proposition tailoring and utilisation.
- New Product Planning.
- Commercial evaluations and strategy development.
- Market Access.
- Experience with liver disease and with Gastroenterologists or Hepatologists as a customer group is a clear advantage
- Have advocacy, communication skills and the ability to set vision and execute on plans, as well as a proven track record of planning and leading complex and cross functional projects within a commercial function.
- Have experience working with marketing, pharmaceutical products, or medical devices, preferably international exposure in a large organisation.
- Are fluent in writing and speaking English.
