The Position

As our new Alzheimer’s Disease Commercial Director, you will be responsible for shaping and executing on the commercialisation roadmap to bring therapy to patients in a sustainable business model. You will drive and implement the roadmap, securing strong early Therapy Area development as we are launching medicines in areas with no or limited treatment options. Your key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Drive commercialisation roadmap across value chain through robust strategies and strong tactical initiatives

  • Identifying and/or implement on commercial and non-commercial partners/partnerships and provide business cases and manage these partnerships.

  • Working with key markets and International Operations and Global to ensure optimal entry and development across the full Novo Nordisk Value Chain.

  • Ensuring operations preparedness for execution of development, entry, and strategy.

  • Supporting across the NN value chain, expertise and know-how, and secure strong collaboration across the organisation,


Qualifications

To be successful in this role you:

  • Hold a master's degree within Science or Business, as well as significant proven experience (7+ years at least,) in early commercialisation, portfolio strategy (both short- and long-term), execution of strategy, and a track record of successful major projects that cut across the value chain and are developed with external partners is an asset.

  • Direct experience required in at least three of the areas (and exposure in other areas desired):

    • Brand Value Communications.

    • Customer insight gathering.

    • Customer value proposition tailoring and utilisation.

    • New Product Planning.

    • Commercial evaluations and strategy development.

    • Market Access.

    • Experience with neurology and with Neurologists, Psychiatrists or Geriatricians as a customer group is a clear advantage.


  • Have advocacy, communication skills and the ability to set vision and execute on plans, as well as a proven track record of planning and leading complex and cross functional projects within a commercial function.

  • Have experience working with marketing, pharmaceutical products, or medical devices, preferably international exposure in a large organisation.

  • Are fluent in writing and speaking English.


About the Department

The small and dedicated New Therapy Areas Commercial Unit will lead commercial efforts, partner with key internal and external stakeholders and engage broadly in the internal and external ecosystem around NASH, Alzheimer’s Disease and Cardiovascular Disease with a focus on delivering transformative therapies to patients with serious chronic disease.
