About the department The Insights & Portfolio Strategy – Rare Disease department sets the commercial direction for Novo Nordisk’s future Rare Disease portfolio. The department is responsible for commercial assessments, competitive intelligence, and market insights for Novo Nordisk’s Rare Disease business unit. In Insights & Portfolio Strategy – Rare Disease, you will be joining a team of experienced business professionals like yourself. The Customer Insights function within this team impacts early research projects and brand strategies for later-stage brands. We collaborate with key internal stakeholders in R&D, Global Marketing, Market Access, and Sales. We execute market research projects and generate insights that make a difference. Based on the analysis and impactful communication of insights derived from primary & secondary data, we make recommendations to senior management. The position By taking on this role, you will have the opportunity to join an international, high-performing team, responsible for generating customer insights from physicians and patients, and translating these into impact on key project, brand, and strategic decisions. As part of the role, you will: Provide recommendations for the yearly global market research plan Lead quantitative and qualitative market research projects Generate essential insights Provide strategic recommendations for key project teams and brands Moreover, you will provide management with ‘best-in-class’ customer insights analysis to enable strategic and operational decision-making. To be successful, you will be expected to maintain strong relationships with Global Marketing teams, Market Access, regions, and affiliates. The role requires a combination of structured project management skills, the ability to analyse and synthesise data to derive insights that impact global strategies, and the ability to challenge and refine assumptions. Qualifications Academic background in life science is considered as an advantage though we will still consider academic backgrounds in the areas of business, economics, social sciences or similar 8+ years of experience of working with quantitative and qualitative market research projects Strong analytical and communication skills that enable you to effectively communicate results to stakeholders at various levels Extensive experience from the pharmaceutical industry, market research agencies, or strategic consulting firms focusing on the pharmaceutical industry We expect you to strive for excellence and to thrive in a dynamic and international environment and that you have a ‘can-do’ attitude. Fluency in both oral and written English and excellent interpersonal skills are also required.
