Søborg
Do you have solid experience developing and commercializing disease-prevention products? Are you excited by the opportunity to work in an independent unit within Novo Nordisk, where innovation will be at the center of everything, we do? Are you passionate about building a new and innovative scientific and business organization that delivers impactful solutions for predicting and preventing obesity and its consequences through partnerships? If yes, then you might be one of the two Senior Directors of the Product Innovation Lab that we are looking for. Join us for a life-changing career!
The position
As one of the two Senior Directors within the Transformational Prevention Unit (TPU), you will enable and empower an interdisciplinary team of Product Creators to conceptualize and test prototype solutions that go beyond medicines. The Product Innovation Lab will develop a Target Product Profile that delivers a value proposition aligned with unmet needs and the TPU product strategy. You will plan and execute a realistic and actionable development plan for the product and ensure the progress of team sprints, often together with external partners. You will report directly to the VP of Strategy & Operations within the TPU, becoming an essential member of the TPU team. Your primary work location could be either in Søborg, Denmark, or Oxford, UK. The role will require some occasional travel. Qualifications
We are looking for a team member with great interpersonal skills, coupled with drive and dedication.
You have knowledge and experience in the domain of precision medicine, and experience applying data science to diverse human data for personalized risk prediction. You have experience working with patient stratification, and solid experience developing evidence-based health solutions grounded in robust biological and clinical data.
The ideal candidate has a graduate-level education and at least 10 years of working experience in commercial healthcare. Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:
• An academic degree (Ph.D. or master’s) in life sciences, and several years of experience in an industry setting (for example pharma, med tech, or healthcare start-ups)
• Documented people management experience and experience in building and leading interdisciplinary teams
• Previous experience with data science, computational biology, functional genomics, or biomarker analysis
• Demonstrated ability to establish strong professional networks, including external partners
• Experience in creating, developing, and commercializing healthcare products About the Department
Imagine a future where people can be screened to determine if they are at risk of developing obesity and know exactly when – and how – to intervene to prevent it. Novo Nordisk aims to contribute to addressing the obesity pandemic rather than being a contributor to it. That is why we have established a Transformational Prevention Unit (TPU)— making the first instance within Novo Nordisk of a prevention unit spanning both Commercial and R&D functions.
Working at Novo Nordisk
At Novo Nordisk, we don’t wait for change. We drive it. We’re a dynamic company in an even more dynamic industry, and we know that what got us to where we are today is not necessarily what will make us successful in the future. We embrace the spirit of experimentation, striving for excellence without fixating on perfection. We never shy away from opportunities to develop, we seize them. From research and development to manufacturing, marketing, and sales – we’re all working to move the needle on patient care.

We commit to an inclusive recruitment process and equality of opportunity for all our job applicants. We need to aspire to be the best company for the world and we know that this is only possible with talented employees with diverse perspectives, backgrounds and cultures.
