Together with 30+ skilled colleagues, you will be a part of the growing Anaesthesia & Patient Monitoring R&D unit at our headquarter in Ballerup. Our focus in on developing, improving, and maintaining the medical devices within our product categories Anaesthesia, Neurology, Cardiology as well as Emergency Care and Training. Our dedicated R&D unit is part of Ambu’s Global Innovation organization that consists of over 300 people on multiple sites around the world.
As our new R&D Engineer you will join our newly established Product Sustaining Engineering team and report to the Product Sustaining Engineering Manager.
Take part in all phases and across the organisation
You will play a vital role in the product life cycle for our Anaesthesia and Patient Monitoring products – including taking part in new development activities. You will be responsible for the product life cycle and will have a high degree of influence on the end-product, just as you will have a great impact on our business.
Your primary responsibilities include:
• Coordinate and lead product support and sustaining activities across product areas and across the organisation.
• Support root cause analyses, risk analysis and customer feedback activities.
• Securing continuous product quality, safety and compliance within regulatory requirements for medical devices.
• Documentation and testing according to FDA, ISO, and other relevant requirements.
You will have a job with high and broad impact, and you will work in a cross functional and international environment with colleague from sites in e.g. Malaysia, China, and US.
Experienced R&D engineer
To succeed in this position, you will need to have a minimum of 5 years of experience with product development and sustaining activities for medical devices – preferably single-use devices. You need to have extensive experience with mechanical design and materials in general. You have worked with all aspects of development from setting the requirements to implementation in production, along with review and construction of related documentation.
You have a practical, structured, and systematic approach focusing on securing progress and delivering high quality results. You are pro-active, committed, can work independently and you take responsibility for your own tasks. In the position as R&D Engineer, you will be participating in cross-organisational activities, and good collaboration and coordination skills are essential.
