København K
As our new Network Engineer, you will work in a diverse team with members from multiple time zones consisting of Integrators, Network Engineers, Solution Architects and project managers to deliver highly technical Wireless & Network environments that range from smaller standalone deliveries to full industrial end-to-end networks.
These environments are business critical as they are used to support our day-to-day operations. As such, you must have previous hands on experience with designing, configuring and optimizing Cisco access, distribution and core networks for complex industrial environments such as shipping terminals, container depots, distribution centres and/or complex manufacturing environments. Wi-Fi experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
Typically, this position will be managing our standardization and best practice efforts while also undertaking several projects within our Industrial Technology space and endorse the relationship with the local terminal IT teams.
Once a project is initiated, you will, together with a team of project resources, be responsible for site surveys, designs, configurations and optimization of the network and wireless infrastructure until the complete fulfilment of the project, ensuring the continuity from initiation to delivery, actively seeking to improve schedule and cost with consideration to terminals satisfaction and Maersk’s business objectives since these programs often have visible impact on the terminal operations and therefore our corporate results.
We are about to embark on a exiting automation journey, where the network infrastructure will be key. Together with our automation and architecture team you will be front and centre in developing our new ISA95 based network standard for our automation journey.
Joining Maersk T&L will embark you on a great journey with career development in a global organisation. As a Network Engineer, you will gain broad business knowledge of the company’s activities globally, as well as understand how the com-plexity of IT supports the transport and logistics business.
At Maersk we value the diversity of our talent and will always strive to recruit the best person for the job – we value diversity in all its forms, including but not limited to: gender, age, nationality, race, sexual orientation, disability or religious beliefs.
