Maersk has built and recently deployed phase 1 of an IT Financial Management (ITFM) capability which enables consumption-based recharge of IT cost to the business, view IT cost across the estate, and enable optimization of spend in order to achieve greater business value and return on investment.
We are setting up an IT Financial Management Office (ITFMO), jointly owned across Technology and Finance, which will drive IT Financial Management activities and IT Financial Management capability development on a daily basis.
An exciting role where you will work closely with ITFM service owner and Platform owners, the role is the process owner for end-to-end cost allocation and billing across the Technology estate.
This role will cover the delivery of financial planning and control, management information and continuous improvement of processes and tooling (primarily ServiceNow).
You will drive the direction of work for the IT Financial Management Office and lead engagement with data consumers to ensure that valued outputs are generated and socialised from the function.
You should possess strategic IT perspective and the ability to express what a high calibre ITFM capability looks like and the value it offers.

This role requires leadership qualities in order to be able to manage relationships with IT Leadership as well as senior business stakeholders and data consumers to align with operational and strategic goals of the company.
The role will jointly with the ITFM Operational Lead:
• Drive the strategic direction of the ITFM capability
• Drive capability adoption and value delivery
• Use ITFM capability to increase transparency of IT Finance between IT and the Business
• Drive ITFM Capability Development
• Own the cost modelling & drives data automation improvements and changes towards ITFM Tool
• Own the ITFM roadmap (KPIs, monthly review decks with Owners, billing back up data, expansion)
• Maintain relationships with Capability Owner, Sponsor and Business Leadership
Additional responsibilities:
• Overall accountability for delivering ITFM Financial E2E process on a monthly basis
• Evolve/improve the financial cost model of ITFM and owning the alignment and connections with Budget owner organisation and financial planning
• Own the Book of Allocations
• Validate and own the Bill of IT
• Manage the relationship with Tax and Transfer Pricing
• Manage relationship
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with experience of working with large complex data sets and ability to build solutions based on complex cost models to meet the needs of the organization.
You are an experienced individual with a strong track record of delivering allocations and recharging to Business Units preferably in an Operations or IT function.
Furthermore you:
• Can build management information reporting and dashboards to support business priorities and objectives
• Have had significant exposure to shared services organizations or complex multi stakeholder structures
• Have the ability to work with senior stakeholders to distil complex Financial and IT information into business aligned metrics
• Have the ability to work within a fast-moving environment while also driving toward clarity and solutions
• Have the ability to influence others and implement change at all levels within the IT organization
• Have prevalent knowledge of technological and financial terminology, understanding key concepts and tooling
• Have system proficiency in data creation, modelling and reporting using advanced Excel , SQL , Word and PowerPoint
• ITIL or ITSM knowledge and experience in using ServiceNow or Apptio based IT Financial Management solutions or TBM certification is a benefit
• May have prior experience of SAP, BW or another Enterprise finance application.
