Are you looking for a unique strategic Portfolio Management position in one the world’s leading companies within renewable energy solutions? We offer you a rare chance to work in a high-impact department in Vestas Power Solutions, a core business unit in Vestas where we design all our plant, hybrid and turbine solutions.
Prerequisites for the job are strong analytic skills, a strategic mindset, strong drive and excellent stakeholder management skills combined with a proven track record of successfully managing project portfolios in alignment with the business strategy.
Vestas CEO Power Solutions Strategy & Development
Portfolio Management drives the strategic execution by managing and consolidating the project portfolio in accordance with the strategic direction in Vestas Power Solutions. This includes facilitating project budget alignment, managing the overall project portfolio in the different sub-portfolios in Vestas Power Solutions against the budget, optimising the resource capacity, as well as facilitating performance reviews. In addition, the department drives the development of performance KPIs for the business unit.
Portfolio Management is a part of the overall Strategy & Development department - a strategic function with direct reference to the Chief Technology Officer. Our primary responsibility is to strengthen strategy development, strategy deployment and strategy execution within Vestas Power Solutions. A very central focus area of the team is to execute and fulfill Vestas' business strategy by aligning and deploying strategic initiatives as well as monitor and follow up on execution to enable accomplishment of the company's vision and mission.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for securing the portfolio overview and consolidation
- Drive the Product Portfolio Master plan incl. reporting and communication to various organisational levels
- Collect plans from different areas in the value chain including checking and challenging the data
- Responsible for securing portfolio planning and review of relevant sub-portfolios
- Manage timing and resource utilisation, including capacity forecasting
- Provide support and reporting to various management groups in relation to the portfolio overview
- Develop the agile Portfolio Planning process
Qualifications
- Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree within Finance, Business Management, Economics and Business Administration, or other relevant educational background and at least 10 years of experience working with product development and/or manufacturing in a large international company
- 5-8 years of experience with Portfolio Planning and knowledge within Project Management
- Have documented experience in working with integrated projects in a matrix organisation with multi-disciplinary teams
- High level of experience with MS project, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with facilitating projects and meetings
Competencies
As a person, you are a strong communicator who can target different audiences in the organisation and you have strong leadership skills. In addition, we expect that you have the following competencies:
- Strong system understanding (SAP PPM, MS project or the like)
- Strong business understanding including understanding of the value chain (sales, technology development production, IT)
- Strong project and stakeholder management skills
- Structured and analytical as well as driven and focused
- Collaborative - easy to work with and a strong team player
- Accountable and taking responsibility for own area
- A strong starter and closer - goal-oriented with a simplistic approach to solving tasks
- Courageous and curious - not afraid of bringing the issues on the table
