Do you want to know how contracts are drafted, negotiated and used in a large company? Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work with legal contracts within in a global context? Are you a fast learner with ability to work independently? Then you might be our new Intern in the eSourcing & Negotiation department in Strategic Sourcing.

The job

As an intern you will be part of a team that handles the whole negotiation process, from start of data collecting in our eSourcing system to analysis and to final agreement. During the negotiation state we give our interns an opportunity to sit in and experience the negotiations. In the late stages you will be exposed to extensive legal reviews, analytical tasks and real-time drafting of documents. You will also take on administrative tasks and in general contribute to optimizing and developing our routines and processes. We are passionate about all aspects of negotiations and offer you a great learning opportunity. We encourage you to set ambitious goals within contract drafting and negotiations while being an intern with us. In the preparing state of a negotiation you will be gathering data and conduction legal analysis upon the collected data.

The Internship

  • The internship period is a full-time position for 6 months.
  • We expect you to be on your first or second year of your master studies.
  • Start date would be 18th of January 2021

Qualifications

We are looking for an intern who is curious about gaining further insight into eSourcing, analytics, negotiations, contract drafting, contract management and sourcing in a global pharma company with suppliers across many different regions and jurisdictions. You are currently studying a master’s degree in law or commercial law. Practical experience with working with contracts is an advantage. We expect candidates to be analytically skilled, be service minded and fluent in both oral and written English. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and IT Contract Management systems is an advantage.

You are an outgoing person with a strong personal drive and dedication. You thrive in a busy environment and bring a can-do attitude and a healthy sense of humour to your work. Finally, you must have a strong work ethic and a willingness to take responsibility for your own learning.

About the department

Strategic Sourcing is responsible for the sourcing of all raw materials, products and services related to Novo Nordisk’s worldwide pharmaceutical production. We organize our activities in sourcing categories through a strong cross-organizational category group set-up. The department eSourcing & Negotiation collect and analyse price data from tenders in our e-sourcing system and hereafter we drive the negotiations and contractual process together with the category owners in Strategic Sourcing. In e-Sourcing & Negotiation we have the tools and processes for eSourcing, negotiations and contract management, and we aspire to be the strongest negotiation team.
