This position offers an opportunity within project management, communication, and a chance to work with partners to improve access to healthcare for the most vulnerable populations.

The position
This intern position is a unique opportunity to build experience in project management, research and analytical skills, stakeholder engagement, meeting and event planning as well as communications. You will be supporting the project managers with various day-to-day tasks in relation to our key partnerships, such as our Changing Diabetes in Children programme and the Humanitarian programme.

Working hours: Full time
Duration: 6 months from 15 January through to 15 August 2021
Internships are remunerated, if your educational track allows
You need to be enrolled at a higher education institution
Full Time Danish work permit is required

Qualifications
We are looking for an intern who is passionate about global health, access to health care and health advocacy. Ideally you are currently studying Global Public health, Political science, International development or other relevant fields.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong personal drive and dedication as well as the desire to take initiative. We expect candidates to be service minded, thrive in a busy environment and bring a "can-do attitude". Fluency in spoken and written English is required in this position. Ability to take on various tasks, sound personal judgement, and excellent interpersonal skills are required. Finally, you must have strong work ethic.

About the department
Global Access to Care is responsible for Novo Nordisk Defeat Diabetes strategy and the company’s efforts to improve and access and affordability for the most vulnerable populations. We are a team of eight dedicated people who are committed to make a positive sustainable impact for patients and for Novo Nordisk. We run partnership programmes to improve access and affordability of our medicines and improve access to quality care for the most underserved populations. We work patient organisations and NGOs to advocate for prioritisation of diabetes and non-communicable diseases in the global health and development agenda. Global Access to Care is part of the Global Public Affairs and Sustainability department and is located at our Headquarters in Bagsvaerd, Denmark.
