Project Manager / Management Partner
Are you the new Management Partner to Novo Nordisk’s Strategic Sourcing management team…
Are you eager to fully understand and influence how an organisation is managed? Are you able to see and describe a project or challenges from a helicopter perspective? Are you better than most people in driving an assignment to timely and successful completion?
If you are, then you may be the Management Partner we need help the Strategic Sourcing Management team in defining, communicating and delivering on organisational direction and strategic ambitions.
About the department
Strategic Sourcing is the central sourcing unit in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division, responsible for the medium and long term strategic sourcing activities, which involves global identification and strategic management of suppliers for Novo Nordisk’s worldwide pharmaceutical production sites. You will be part of a specialist team called Strategic Sourcing Business Support, where we define strategies, develop solution, provide sparring and drive projects within general management, quality, financial, social/environmental, digitalisation and market intelligence. In our work we support the management team and five other departments in the Strategic Sourcing unit in being “The commercial Sourcing Partner for manufacturing and distribution”.
The position
As Management Partner, you will own a wide range of internal and cross-organisational projects and management processes. You will take part in the management team’s continuous refinement of the organisational strategy as well as drive the process towards defining the strategic priorities.
In this role, you will be a key sparring partner for the CVP and the Strategic Sourcing management team. You will provide support to the overall management of the unit through business planning and strategy, analysis, presentations, communication, and project management.
In this role, you will drive projects and processes with high strategic importance, and thus be a key contributor to management’s decision making
Examples of strategic priorities are: Lift the unit’s performance via stronger use of our supporting team of 10 colleagues in Global Business Services in India, or Transform the ambition of being “forensic about cost” into business impact across the unit.
You will be located in Bagsværd, where 10 competent colleagues in Business Support, as well as the rest of Strategic Sourcing, will look forward to welcoming you.
Qualifications
You hold a Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Innovation, Organisational Development, International Business or other relevant disciplines. You have 3-5 year of experience in a consultancy firm as a Management Consultant and enjoy engagements on a varied range of topics. Alternatively (or in addition to above) you have worked for a number years in a large organisation where you have proven your skills in seeing situations from a holistic angle and are motivated to help manage the implementation of strategy, and would like to test your skills in new settings.
In either case…
- You have excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- You are able to turn complex information into simple and compelling messages, preferably through captivating PowerPoint presentations.
- You have strong interpersonal skills and are known for your strong track record in establishing productive working relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- You have a can-do attitude and able to work well independently as well as in (larger) teams
- You possess solid English language skills in speech and in writing
- You follow-through (from A-Z) on both small practical and large strategic deliverables to secure timely and high quality performance across the board.
