We are looking for a senior leader within BI, Data Management & Analytics to fill the position as BI, Data Management & Analytics Vice President and drive the area forward. This position holds the overall global responsibility for the major BI, Data Management & Analytics systems, platforms, services, developments, use cases, and projects in Novo Nordisk. The position holder is also responsible for ensuring that all systems and services deliver high business value to the line of business. In this role, you will report to the Corporate Vice President of Cross Digital, Data & IT (Cross DD&IT) and be an active member of the Management team. As BI, Data Management & Analytics Vice President, you will lead a large organisation of app. 80 employees in Denmark while also having app. 100 dotted-line team members located in India and US. The position holder’s main responsibilities will include: Project & Solution Portfolio Management Global responsibility for developing and operating all major BI, Data Management & Analytics systems, platforms, and services Functional responsibility for Software Engineering, Cloud engineering, Data Engineering, good data science practices, ML Engineering, as well as good coding practices across data and analytics solutions in the Cloud Business Development Partnering Support the strategic development and use of systems, platforms, and services. Develop IT strategies in close cooperation with the line of business Create and maintain close partnerships with line of business customers, senior management, affiliates, regions, vendors, academia, and other key stakeholder groups Leadership and Area Management Ensure attraction, development, and retention of highly skilled BI, Data Management & Analytics employees Lead the area achieving outstanding employee and end user satisfaction as well as contract negotiations and subsequently manage vendor contracts on behalf of the line of business Therefore, the BI, Data Management & Analytics Vice President has a high impact and visibility that require strong leadership, broad business and value chain understanding, and excellent communication capabilities. The BI, Data Management & Analytics Vice President will be a critical point of contact for the Management teams across Digital, Data & IT as well as for internal and external stakeholders.
Which competencies to bring? As future BI, Data Management & Analytics Vice President, we expect you to have the following:
Master’s degree within Business Administration, Economics, or IT with 10+ years of experience working within Business Intelligence, Data Management & Analytics 5+ years of experience working as leader of leaders 5+ years of experience working in the pharma industry incl. under GxP requirements Deep level of IT market understanding (both within technologies, vendors, services) Deep experience within front/back end technologies, Cloud Data Warehousing, AI, MLOps, Data Mesh, SAP Business Warehouse, AlphaFold, and Medical Image Analysis Deep experience as well with tools, middleware, Cloud vendors, and Agile methodologies Excellent command of English
