If so, join us in our exciting journey in healthcare innovation to defeat rare blood and endocrine disorders as our new Legal Director in the global Rare Disease Legal, Compliance, and Quality team. The position As Legal Director, you will play a critical role in managing legal and compliance risks across Rare Disease therapy areas by engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders within the global Rare Disease organization. The scope of responsibilities includes, but is not limited to: Providing proactive, pragmatic advice in cross-functional teams and on key strategic Rare Disease projects to ensure legal compliance by design and default Identifying and assessing ethics & compliance risks, performing gap analyses, and creating risk mitigation plans related to global activities Drafting and negotiating contracts for innovative and complex projects, including in the digital health space Reviewing and advising on product communications, including promotional material and scientific activities Developing legal and compliance guidance, tools, and best practice materials You will be engaging with a diverse range of business stakeholders within Rare Disease Medical Affairs, Commercial, Communication and Public Affairs, and Advanced Therapies/Innovative Solutions teams, as well as colleagues across the world in the Global Legal and Compliance organization. You will work with external counsel and third parties. Your workplace will be in Søborg, Denmark, but will be expected to travel periodically to the Zurich-based headquarters for the global Rare Disease organization. This is a unique opportunity to obtain valuable insights into Novo Nordisk’s business and gain exposure to a large part of the global organization. Additionally, various opportunities within Novo Nordisk in Denmark and abroad offer potential for further future personal opportunities and development. Qualifications On a personal level, you are curious and have a solution-oriented, positive attitude that enables you to establish strong professional relationships internally and externally. You have a genuine passion for supporting Novo Nordisk’s efforts to help patients, as well as an interest in understanding Novo Nordisk’s business and where Legal & Compliance can support the company’s agenda. Requirements: Law degree At least 5 years of experience advising business stakeholders in a regulated industry or in a global commercial setting (experience from the pharmaceutical industry and with digital health partnerships is not a must but will be considered an advantage) Holistic approach to risk management Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to effectively interact with senior management and external partners Proficiency in English both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate complex matters simply and compellingly. Attention to detail combined with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet tight deadlines. About the department
