As a Primary Packaging Engineer, you will work in an inspiring scientific environment with highly engaged colleagues and collaborate closely with people from different areas such as R&D, Production and Supply Chain. Your main focus will include:
• Being responsible for primary packaging components or systems for injectable pharmaceuticals, such as aluminium Cap and laminate Septum.
• Bringing the new primary packaging materials from clinical development to market. This includes receiving documentation from R&D and primary packaging-related regulatory filing activities and documenting the activities to be ready for health authority inspections.
• Managing lifecycle management activities of primary packaging materials for commercial products, e.g., evaluating new suppliers and implementing changes to component and technology improvements.
• Ensuring the technical performance, processability and safety of the primary packaging components and systems.
• Leading investigations related to primary packaging components. This includes analysing customer complaints, understanding usage, and investigating potential root causes to ensure components and materials meet performance and quality requirements. Qualifications
To be considered for this position, it is required that you have:
• Master’s degree in engineering or any other relevant natural science field.
• At least a few years of experience within development or maintenance of primary packaging for pharmaceuticals.
• Experience working in GMP environment, system engineering, safety risk management and quality specifications.
• Fluency in written and spoken English. As a person, you are motivated by finding the solutions that are sustainable and can be incorporated in manufacturing processes. You work in a structured manner and take ownership of your assignment. Also, you have strong technical and analytical skills, are result-oriented and take pride in delivering on your milestones. Additionally, you motivate your colleagues with a positive, forthcoming attitude and you work well independently, although it also motivates you to work together with colleagues and stakeholders across functions and departments. About the department
You will join the Material Manufacturing Development – Primary Packaging Department in Product Supply, Sourcing Operations. We consist of approx. 35 employees organized in 3 teams, and continuously growing. We are responsible for implementation of complex Primary Packaging materials and maintain documentation on existing materials. We cooperate with a variety of functions, including CMC, Device R&D, QC laboratories, QA, various Novo Nordisk production sites around the globe, and a range of external suppliers and contract manufactures (CMO).
