The position As a Senior Project Cost Controller, you will play a crucial role in the project cost control function within the Project Management Office for Future QC - a major CAPEX project. This role will involve collaborating closely with Finance, project managers, engineering partners, and other stakeholders to ensure that the project is delivered within budget and that cost control processes and procedures are followed throughout the project lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include: Contribute significantly to the development and maintenance of project cost control systems, procedures, and tools. Monitoring and analyzing project costs, identifying any deviations from the budget, and recommending corrective actions. Managing project contingency to analyze variances from the budget. Establishing and tracking KPIs critical to cost control and early warning systems. Continuously assessing project performance and status from a cost perspective, providing valid and reliable information for management decision-making. Proactively identifying potential issues, formulating advice and recommendations based on evidence and expertise. Providing regular reports and updates on project costs to project managers and other stakeholders. Communicating cost implications to project team members and raising awareness of budgetary and other cost-related issues. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you need a master’s degree in engineering, Business or other relevant area and have at have proven experience in similar position that involved cost estimation, controlling or cost engineering from large CAPEX projects. Pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred. Effective communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English are required. Additionally, it is desirable that you have: Strong knowledge of project cost control principles, processes and tools. Proven experience in autonomously performing project cost control tasks during execution phases. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend appropriate actions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in project management software, including ACONEX, Oracle Primavera Cloud, SAP, SAP BW, Microsoft Excel, and Power Point. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Certified Cost Professional (AACEI) or similar qualification is an advantage. In addition, the ideal candidate for this role should meet the following criteria: Analyze business problems/issues to reach innovative, data-supported, cost-effective, and timely decisions. Possess a curious, analytical, systematic, and inquisitive mindset. Embrace a can-do attitude, proactively striving for higher levels of performance and not afraid of being challenged by peers and employees. Demonstrate good stakeholder management skills with the personal courage and integrity to make the right decisions. About the department You will be joining the Fill & Finish Expansions department, which is responsible for designing, planning, and building all major fill & finish expansion projects across Novo Nordisk. We are a newly established and growing area, focused on rethinking our fill & finish facilities with the use of modern technology. Our goal is to set the standards for the facilities of the future, designing facilities that we will still be proud of 20 years from now. As part of our global approach, you will have the opportunity to work with multiple sites and cultures across the world. The project you will be working on involves the construction of a multi-functional QC laboratory at Novo Nordisk, with a total area of 44,000m2 and a future workplace for 650 QC colleagues. This state-of-the-art laboratory will provide analytical support to production units across Novo Nordisk, covering products for the treatment of diabetes, obesity, rare blood, and endocrine disorders.
