Novo Nordisk is looking for experienced chemists to support the chemical analysis of peptide/protein-based injectable drug products. If you have expertise in analytical test methods, experience with analysis of peptides/proteins, and enjoy providing support to others, this role is for you. We are seeking positive, energetic, and flexible team players who are experienced with analytical testing techniques such as HPLC, UHPLC, AAS, Raman, ICP, and familiar with Container Closure Integrity testing. We are currently looking for several skilled chemists to join the Analytical Support team which consists of 6 chemists, 1 analytical specialist, 1 quality coordinator, and 1 manager.
You will be part of a group of method support chemists who are responsible for: Implementation of analytical procedures for new injectable diabetes and obesity products in QC laboratories before submitting to authorities.
Supporting chemical analysis of injectable drug products, both internally in the department and globally in QC laboratories by assisting with method-related questions and complex problem solving.
Documentation of analytical methods on marketed drug products in the diabetes and obesity area - and compliance to pharmacopoeias and external requirements.
Scientific support and evaluation for various optimization, automatization, and development projects in our area.
As we work under GMP requirements, Change Requests, SOP updates, deviations etc. are a natural part of the job. As our new colleague you will furthermore contribute to optimisation of current analytical methods.
Your main stakeholders will be colleagues in the department, QC laboratories across the world, QA and Regulatory Affairs. A few days of travels per year might be expected.
Qualifications To succeed in this role, we expect you to have: A scientific academic degree such as cand. pharm., cand. scient., chemical engineer or similar; a Ph.D. in a relevant area could be an advantage.
Experience from a GMP-regulated laboratory.
Working experience as an analytical chemist with techniques such HPLC, UHPLC, AAS, Raman, and possibly with ICP and Container Closure Integrity testing. Experience with analysis of peptide/protein-based injectable drug products is an advantage.
Strong communication skills both in spoken and written English.

The Analytical Competence Centre is a department in Aseptic Manufacturing Science and Technology (AMSAT) and consists of 65 employees organised in six teams. We have a central support function in relation to chemical analysis of Novo Nordisk injectable finished products under development, as well as our marketed products – for diabetes and obesity. The department is responsible for validation of analytical methods and for the following transfer of the analytical methods to our QC laboratories and CMOs across the world. We furthermore support our colleagues globally with analytical knowledge and scientific input as well as drive optimisation of the analytical methods.
