Georg Jensen A/S is looking foran ESG manager to drive and implement our ambitious ESG strategy. You will be part of our Global Operations function, reporting to the Head of Quality & CSR. The Global Operations team is located at our beautiful headquarters in Copenhagen.
The newly created position will develop, manage, and implement Georg Jensen’s ESG roadmap in collaboration with other HQ functions, selling affiliates and manufacturing entities. In addition, you will work closely with our Sourcing Office in China to ensure that our third-party manufacturing partners are part of our CSR journey.
You will be part of a very dynamic environment with a lot of opportunities to develop the CSR/ESG function. Georg Jensen is a global company with a strong brand and a culture built on a deep and rich heritage of Danish design and silver craftmanship.
The key to success in this position is the ability to influence all ESG stakeholders, both internal and external while ensuring a strong compliance with existing and future ESG reporting needs. As you will drive the implementation of our ESG strategy, you must be comfortable with interacting with all levels within the organisation. You are a positive person with a strong personal drive that enjoys a fast-paced working environment. You have a strong passion for ESG with the ability to apply innovative thinking to the ESG agenda.
The development potential for this role is high and you will have significant exposure to all parts of the business, including the Senior Management Team.
Your key responsibilities:
The ideal candidate has the following competences:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in ESG/CSR, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or similar and preferably 5+ years’ experience in ESG/CSR functions, preferably in FMCG or Luxury businesses.

Your key responsibilities:
- Lead the statutory ESG reporting across all GJ entities.
- Collaborate in the development of Georg Jensen’s long-term ESG vision and strategy and build the required plans to implement these.SG
- Build and own the framework for measurement of Georg Jensen’s CO2 emissions across all entities. Define and implement specific reduction plans at Group level.
- Evaluate the use and implementation of Science Based Targets (SBTs) for above mentioned CO2 emission reduction strategy.
- Define the roadmap for Scope 1-3 measurement and emission reduction planning
- Lead the internal global team on Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) and ensure progress on activities.
The ideal candidate has the following competences:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in ESG/CSR, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or similar and preferably 5+ years’ experience in ESG/CSR functions, preferably in FMCG or Luxury businesses.
- Demonstrated experience in developing CO2 emission reporting.
- Practical experience in developing CO2 emission reduction strategies, including manufacturing entities and third-party suppliers.
- Deep knowledge of Science Based Target and Scope 1-3 emission reporting.
- Experience with working with suppliers in Asia.
- Project management competencies.
- Strong and engaging communicator with the ability to interact at all levels in an international organisation.
- Self-starter with the ability to work with a high degree of autonomy.
- Naturally curious and looking to challenge status quo and existing ways of working.
- Communicate effortlessly in English and preferably Danish in both speech and writing.
