The position
As our Instrumentation & Metrology Lead, you'll be an integral part of our AP Expansions program, collaborating closely with our Central Manufacturing Development team, Senior Project Manager, Subject Matter Experts, and other specialists to specify and define top-of-the-line instrumentation & metrology.
Your expertise will be critical in ensuring that our production facilities meet the highest standards of regulatory compliance and remain state-of-the-art for years to come. You'll have a major role in managing the design phase, developing solutions that will not only meet our needs today but also impress visitors for decades to come.
In this exciting role, you'll be tasked with: Responsible for the implementation of the strategy for Instrumentation & Metrology in Novo Nordisk’s future AP facilities. Working with the technical tracks to ensure key functionalities and design principles. Key player in vendor oversight during the equipment design, build and test phases. Setting the direction to ensure a risk-based approach to validation and maintaining the validated state of the equipment (including maintenance strategy approach).
As the position will involve collaborating with our global sites, some travel would be expected for the position which is estimated at 5-7 trips per year.
Qualifications To be successful in this role you have: An academical degree within Engineering, Life Sciences, or similar education. Significant experience from the pharma industry or other regulated industry where GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) or similar requirements exist. +3 years of work experience within Instrumentation & Metrology. Experience with validation and commissioning of GMP facilities. An excellent command of verbal and written English. Experience with implementation of equipment in a GMP controlled environment, such as working with or using required documentation documents. (URS, protocoles, reports, test plans, déviations, change control, machine documentation, etc.).

You thrive in a changing and dynamic environment and able to demonstrate attention to detail and are structured when it comes to problem-solving. Furthermore, you have good stakeholder management and the ability to communicate complex content in a simple way and build relations on a global scale.

Engineering & Facility is a department in the newly created area of AP Expansions. You will be joining AP Expansions, which stands for expansions of Aseptic Production (AP). The area is anchored in Product Supply, Quality & IT, which globally employ approx. 20,000 of Novo Nordisk’s 50,000 employees. AP Expansions is a newly established and growing area with the responsibility to design, plan and built all new aseptic filling capacity across Novo Nordisk to serve needs of millions of patients. We do it by rethinking our aseptic production facilities with the use of modern technology, as we are setting the standards for the aseptic production of the future. Facilities designed today which we will still be proud of 20 years from now. AP Expansions has a clearly global approach, where you will be working with multiple sites and cultures across the world.
