At DSV Solutions, we partner with our customers to design and deliver logistics solutions that enable efficient operations and increase cost efficiency for hundreds of logistics facilities across the world.
We cover 4 vital delivery areas, including warehouse management systems, automations solutions and – your new area of responsibility – core applications.
The core application product platform focuses on all freight and delivery management systems enabling freight invoicing and settlement, customs and duty management, package, and label scanning and much, much more.
With new demands, legislations and world challenges being a constant for us, we are continuously working to improve our IT so it can keep up and keep ahead. And therefore, we are looking to streamline the portfolio as well as reengineer many of our individual technologies, our roadmap, and our life cycle management.
Global IT, of which DSV Solutions IT is part, is a growing and integral part of the operations of DSV, one of the world’s largest logistics providers. Together, we are around 2000 employees spread across various countries and regions all over the world, giving us a truly global presence.
At DSV, we play a significant role in global logistics operations as one of the world’s largest transport and logistics providers. Looking forward, we are on a mission to become a technological leader within our field, setting the standard for the rest of the industry.
Define, create, lead
In order to modernise and expand the portfolio, you will need a team – one that does not exist yet. While we already have excellent programmers, product owners and other brilliant minds at DSV working on core applications, it will be up to you to gather them all into a brand-new team, hire even more and lead them towards success.
What the team will look like, how they will work, and much more will depend on your leadership style and vision for our core applications. You will, however, have very clear goals, which include building and leading a team with end-to-end delivery capabilities, from support to security, architecture and governance.

With our constant focus on performance and optimisation, it is important that you are highly curious, that you never stop wanting to learn more and that you are always driven to take action when opportunities present themselves. Fast action is the key to success here. Not that you need to be working 24/7/365, but in the sense of never leaving a good opportunity laying idle.

- Define the structure and set-up of the team and drive the build-up over the next year
- Continue leading and developing the team
- Foster a culture of proactivity, innovation and modern approaches to IT within the team
- Explore and develop new business opportunities for the core application product platform
- Establish, maintain and ensure delivery of the overall products roadmap and strategy of the core application product platform
Do you have the skills to lead?
With our constant focus on performance and optimisation, it is important that you are highly curious, that you never stop wanting to learn more and that you are always driven to take action when opportunities present themselves. Apart from that, we are very open in terms of what your background may be – no specific titles or degrees are necessary, as long as you have:
- Solid Leadership experience and the ability to lead others through encouragement, feedback, and performance development
- Sound technological knowledge, not at coding level, but enough to understand our systems and analyse them to identify key issues and formulate conclusions
- Excellent communication skills in English, as you will often collaborate with colleagues across borders and even travel approx. 25 days per year
