The position
As a part of the usability late-stage group, you will be an advocate for the end users in the late-stage device and digital health development projects. The essentials of the position are: Documenting usability data. This require a person with excellent organizational and analytical skills, as you will be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation of usability evaluations and ensuring alignment with multiple internal projects, relevant regulations and guidelines.
Being responsible for documentation in the design control phases also means that you will be required to write usability reports of very high quality. Close collaboration with key stakeholders, such as project managers, risk managers, systems engineers, quality assurance, clinical, regulatory affairs, and external vendors.
You will be required to present usability data to key stakeholders with diverse professional backgrounds.
For a professional being part of our late-stage usability group, we require the following competencies: Strong attention to detail and ability to review and edit technical documentation Familiarity with technical writing of e.g., procedures, protocols, and reports Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple documents and projects simultaneously Understanding of product development processes and ability to work with cross-functional teams and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders Experience interacting with governing authorities In this role, you will report to the Team Leader of Usability Engineering, who is a Usability Engineer by education and training. As part of a talented and growing team, it is expected that you will also be part of optimizing our research process and activities on an on-going basis.
Approximately 5-15 days of travel a year is expected in relation to usability tests. Qualifications For this role, we expect a minimum of 3 years’ medical device experience.
We believe the ideal candidate for the position meets the following requirements: Minimum MSc. within relevant fields (E.g. Engineering, Biomedical, or similar) Relevant work experience (e.g. Usability Engineering, Technical Writing, Systems Engineering, Risk Management or other Medical or Healthcare fields) Solid experience with data documentation and reporting thorough data-collection efforts and analysis is crucial. Fluency in written and spoken English is essential Hands-on experience with usability testing methodologies and documentation as well as knowledge of relevant regulations and guidelines will be an advantage. As a person, you are self-driven and structured. You are a strong team player recognised for your interpersonal skills. You are energetic, result-oriented and comfortable with taking initiative. You have an analytical mindset and can easily navigate in the intersection between data, people and processes. Lastly, you have a curiosity and passion for creating the best possible solution for our end users. About the Department
Devices and Delivery Solutions (DDS) consists of more than 300 colleagues who works dedicated to design and develop innovative medical devices, digital health products, and digital therapeutic solutions for our patients. Only by considering what is valuable from a patient perspective do we help people live their lives to the fullest. We are currently looking for an experienced detailed-oriented professional to join our late-stage usability group. You will be part of the User Research and Insights department, who plays a critical role in the development of future devices and digital health solutions by validation and authority approval of the user interface to ensure safe and effective use.
You will join our Usability Engineering team consisting of 9 skilled usability professionals, who enjoy having a collaborative approach when setting direction within the field of usability.
