The Position As our new Associate Manager for the Packaging Material QC team, you will head up one of the two teams responsible for the quality control of primary and secondary packaging materials (printed packaging material), and hereby ensure the quality of packaging materials for all Novo Nordisk manufacturing sites around the world, as well as printed packaging materials for our manufacturing sites in Denmark. The team is newly established by dividing a large team in two, and consists of approx. 15 employees, both professionals, technicians and operators. Your sister team is similar, and you will have a close cooperation with the other associate manager, as you together are responsible for the quality control of packaging materials. Additionally, you will have a close cooperation with the Inbound Supply Management department, QA, the external packaging material warehouse and the chemical QC teams within the department. Your key responsibilities will be to: • Lead the transformation of our quality control of packaging materials to a modern, digital and automated state of the art QC. • Ensure efficient daily operations in compliance with GMP and corporate standards, whilst optimising our internal flow. • Lead and participate actively in board meetings, process confirmation and structured use of problem-solving tools to locate and eliminate the root cause of an error. • Foster a climate of high well-being and innovation within own team and across related organisational departments. You will become a member of a dedicated, trustful and ambitious management team reporting to the Director of Sourcing QC. As a member of the Sourcing QC management team you will contribute to the successful performance and ongoing development of the department, through a close collaboration with your peers. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you have: • Master’s degree in any field. • Proven experience as a people leader, who builds trust, drives engagement and ensures wellbeing in the team. • Experience and understanding of GMP and ideally with quality control. • Fluency in Danish and English. As a person, you have solid stakeholder management and communication skills, you are authentic with strong interpersonal skills that enables you to build trust. We expect you to be a people leader by nature with the ability to coach and lead others no matter which educational background and in a busy environment. You are robust and renowned for your strong interpersonal skills and ability to set challenging goals and challenge status quo. You are a skilled communicator and thrive in cooperating with a variety of stakeholders. Lastly, you have a high degree of independence and take initiative to challenge ways of doing things and to drive innovative improvements. About the Department Sourcing QC is part of Sourcing Operations, which has the overall operational responsibility for the inbound supply chain of Novo Nordisk and consists of 400 employees. Sourcing QC is responsible for chemical testing of raw materials, excipients and primary packaging, as well as physical testing of packaging materials, both primary and secondary. We are 90 employees divided in 5 teams located in Hillerød.
