The position As Environment and Energy Project Manager, your primary role involves defining and leading the Energy agenda within Device Manufacturing & Sourcing (DMS). This entails driving environmental projects with a specific focus on reducing energy and water consumption and implementing strategies to eliminate and re-circle plastic waste during production processes. Furthermore, you will have the possibility to engage in scope 3 projects aimed at reducing the environmental impact of Novo Nordisk’s suppliers. In close collaboration with our CVP Environmental Partner, who is in charge of guiding and overseeing the Environmental agenda within DMS, your mission is to develop roadmaps for a seamless execution of the Circular for Zero strategy.
Your main responsibilities include: Preparing an energy mapping process to identify significant energy consumers and determining the underlying drivers of energy consumption Assessing whether the impact of the identified drivers can be reduced by identifying and executing energy-savings projects, including the calculation of payback, the monitoring and tracking of the energy performance through the establishment of Management Energy Performance Indicators Driving projects from their initial concept to full implementation and handover by conducting business case assessments to estimate project potential and risks Ensuring projects are executed in accordance with scope, schedule, and budget. As a person, you are open-minded and cultivate honest communication with experts and stakeholders. You inspire and motivate the team you are collaborating with toward the achievement of our project goals, all while fostering a positive team dynamic. Your sense of structure and determination are complemented by a natural curiosity and the capacity to embrace new challenges. You effectively manage your time, adeptly set priorities, and consistently meet deadlines, while showcasing proactiveness and an innovative approach to problem-solving. Qualifications To succeed in this role, we imagine you: Possess an academic degree in a relevant technical or scientific field. Bring knowledge and exposure to Circular Economy and Life Cycle Assessment, acquired through education or prior professional experience. Showcase competence in project management, gained through either educational background or previous work. Demonstrate proficiency in both written and spoken English. It would be considered an advantage if you have familiarity with a GMP-regulated environment.
About the department Device Manufacturing and Sourcing (DMS) is responsible for manufacturing and sourcing all components for Novo Nordisk prefilled and durable medical devices and serves millions of patients with Diabetes, Obesity, and other chronic diseases all over the world. Our medical devices, primarily made of plastic and metal components, are produced in Novo Nordisk production facility in Hillerød, and in our global network of strategic suppliers.
